Burkina Faso are debutants in Afrobasket, however they have decent players from USA colleges, Belgian and French leagues. They have beaten CAR in a friendly and kept a close game vs Mozambique, eventually losing. I think they are severely underestimated today, because of the fact that they are making their first appearence in this competition and have no past results for comparison.
Rwanda have troubles with their selection, as Thailand-based Brannon Darius (planned to play in PF/C position) has been ruled out of the competition with a knee injury, leaving them severely undersized vs Burkina. Cedrick Isom (Primeiro do Agosto, Angola), Dan Manzi and Adonis Rwabigwi (Tampa Bay, Florida USA) have also withdrawn from national duty to concentrate on demanding schools program. As the result, their squad is only made up of five professionals. Rwanda have a couple of scorers in Gassana & Kabangu but with a depleted team, I don't believe they can be a match vs the versatile players (especially very deep frontcourt) of Burkina. For me, BF are the favorites in this matchup and odds right now are just too good to refuse.
Burkina Faso to win this one is my call.
