The first two from each Group advance to round 16. Four best third-placed teams will qualify As well.
If two or more teams are equal on points on completion of all the matches in their Group, the following criteria will be used to determine the rankings in the order given:
a) num of points obtained in the matches among the teams in question;
b) goal difference in the matches among the teams in question;
c) num of goals scored in the matches among the teams in question;
d) goal difference;
e) num of goals scored;
f) fair play conduct;
g) position in the UEFA national team coefficient ranking system
h) drawing of lots.
If two teams which have the same num of points, the same num of goals scored and conceded play their last Group match against each other and are still equal at the end of the match, the ranking of the two teams in question will be determined by kicks from the penalty mark, provided no other teams within the Group have the same num of points.
