najlepsza w sieci metoda punktowania konkursów "correct score".
Round (tournament) winner should be a person to score the most points in the round (tournament). In case where two or more participants have equal number of points, the tie(s) will be broken by the following principle in following order:
number of correct scores throughout the round or tournament in dispute
number of correct outcomes (win, loss or draw) combined with correct goal differential
number of correct outcomes combined with correct number of goal by one team
number of correct outcomes only
number of correct number of goals by one team only
points received for the most unpredictable game in the round (tournament) (defined by the lowest average score)
points received for the second most unpredictable game in the round, etc.
The tiebreakers will only be used to determine prize winners and might not be reflected in day-to-day standings.
If the tiebreakers cannot determine the winner for a given round, the winner will be determined by the performance in the round following the round in question. If the tie occurs in the final round of the tournament, the final placement will be determined by a draw.
Scoring system is as follows:
Prediction Points
Correct score 5
Correct outcome + correct goal differential (all ties go into this category) 3
Correct outcome + correct # of goals scored by either team 3
Correct outcome only 2
Correct # of goals scored by either team only 1
None of the above 0
For instance, here is what you would have scored for a game which ended with the score of 2:1
Prediction Points
2:1 5
1:0 3
3:1 3
2:3 1
0:0 0
0:1 1
3:0 2
2:0 3
In the case of games with extra time added, official result is considered to be the score after the extra-time, but before penalty kicks.
If a participant were to miss a round for some reason, he or she would be awarded extrapolation points based on the following formula:
Extrapolation Points = Cumulative Round Average * N,
where N will be 0.9 for the first missed round, 0.85 for the second, etc. For instance, if you missed your 3rd round and the average score for all the participants who took place in this round was 20, you would receive 20 * 0.8 = 16 points This measure will enable you to keep up with everyone even if you were not able to send your predictions in time or missed the initial rounds of a competition. The minimum extraploation coefficient is 0.7 (if the competition has more than 5 rounds)
Note: Extrapolation points are awarded only for the rounds missed prior to participating in one of the rounds, i.e. extrapolation points will not be awarded for the last round of the competition
In case where the place of the match was changed (this sometimes happens in European Cups) 48 hours or less before the deadline, the match will be taken off the list and will not be counted.
In case of any dispute with regards to the points scored by a player, final decision is to be made by ezPredict.com
