Potwierdzam. The Sonics will play tonight's game against the Washington Wizards at KeyArena without star guard Ray Allen, who will sit out because of recurring left ankle inflammation.
Allen missed Tuesday's practice to have the ankle examined and a foot specialist determined the shooting guard needed rest. Allen attended Wednesday's shoot-around but wasn't available for comment.
The seven-time All-Star has a large bone spur in his left ankle and a bone bruise in his right ankle. After missing 15 of 19 shots Sunday against Portland, Allen said he was hurting.
"I feel like it doesn't get any better," Allen said of his left ankle. "When you get time off you have to manage it and take care of it. I will navigate my way through the best way I can." The guard (Ray) had his left ankle evaluated after practice yesterday. No new injury was revealed. Despite this, he will not likely play tonight.

Zainteresował mnie mecz Toronto Raptors - Orlando Magic. Rano byłem jeszcze skłonny grać ekipę z Kanady, jednak teraz zmieniłem nieco zdanie. Toronto ostatnio złapało zadyszkę, o czym świadczą dwa dość wyraźnie przegrane spotkania z Houston i Knicksami. Z gry wyleciał najlepszy rezerwowy Andrea Bargnani. Niepewny jest również występ innych rezerwowych: Anthonego Parkera i Jose Calderona. Bez tych zawodników trener gospodarzy ma ograniczone pole manewru. Orlando natomiast ostatnio dość niespodziewanie wygrało z Miami Heat i to na wyjeździe. Koszykarze Magic wiedzą, że jeżeli nie zaczną wygrywać seriami to playoffy mogą im uciec. W ekipie gości na lekki uraz narzeka jedynie Jameer Nelson, jednak dzisiaj najprawdopodoniej będzie zdolny do gry. Według mnie dzisiaj jest doskonała okazja dla Magików, żeby wygrać dwa mecze z rzędu, co ostatni raz udało im się na przełomie stycznia i lutego.

Bogut, Villanueva gone for season

Milwaukee Bucks centre Andrew Bogut and forward Charlie Villanueva will miss the rest of the season because of injuries.
Bogut missed a game for the first time in his career last night against the Los Angeles Clippers because of a sprained left foot. The second-year centre was hurt against the Los Angeles Lakers on March 7.
Villanueva, a former Raptor and also a second-year player, has developed recurrent right shoulder pain that will require arthroscopic surgery. czyli Bogut i Villanueva out do konca sezonu to samo już raczej będzie z R.Allen "Ray sat out with pain and discomfort from bone spurs in his left ankle. Allen is considering season-ending surgery."
