Mandella Back to Defend Dubai World Cup Title Richard Mandella, winner of the 2004 US$6,000,000 Dubai World Cup (Gr.I), sponsored by Emirates Airline, will be retuning to Dubai to defend his Dubai World Cup title at Nad Al Sheba Racecourse on Saturday, March 26th, with the five-year-old CONGRATS.
In 2004 Pleasantly Perfect gave Mandella his long awaited Dubai World Cup victory in an epic battle to the line with the Jerry Bailey-partnered Medaglia d'Oro.
A total of 13 American challengers look likely to arrive in Dubai to compete in races on Dubai World Cup day and with total prize money of US$15,250,000 it is the world's richest day of racing.
CONGRATS, winner of the San Pasqual Stakes (Gr.II) in January and recent runner-up in the Santa Anita Handicap (Gr.I), will be joined in the Dubai World Cup (Gr.I) by fellow American contenders CHOCTAW NATION, trained by Jeff Mullins, Bobby Frankel's LUNDY'S LIABILITY, and ROSES IN MAY, trained by Dale Romans.
LUNDY'S LIABILITY already has Dubai World Cup day winning experience, claiming the US$2,000,000 UAE Derby (Gr.II) last year when trained by Mike de Kock. Breeders' Cup Classic runner-up, ROSES IN MAY finished second on his most recent outing in the Donn Handicap (Gr.I) on February 5th.
De Kock, who trained Victory Moon to finish third in the Dubai World Cup a year ago, runs YARD-ARM, winner of the US$200,000 Al Fahidi Fort (Gr.III) during the 2005 Dubai International Racing Carnival. The J & B Met (Gr.I) winner finished fifth, behind CHIQUITIN, on his first run on the Nad Al Sheba dirt in the final round of the Al Maktoum Challenge (Gr.II) over the Dubai World Cup trip.
CHIQUITIN is one of the two runners in the Dubai World Cup trained by Saudi Arabian-based Jerry Barton, the other being KING'S BOY who was fifth in this race last year. Also from Saudi Arabia comes the Christophe Clement-trained DYNEVER.
JACK SULLIVAN is one of the success stories of the 2004 & 2005 Dubai International Racing Carnival. Trained by Gerard Butler the four-year-old finished fourth in the UAE Derby (Gr.II) last year, before returning to Dubai to win the second leg of the Al Maktoum Challenge (Gr.II) followed by the Burj Nahaar (Listed) over 1,600 metres on Super Saturday.
ADJUDI MITSUO will be flying the flag for Japan, the Masayuki Kawashima-trained four-year-old has an impeccable record coming into the race, a winner of five of his nine starts including the Tokyo Derby. His most recent win came last time out in the Tokyo Daishoten (Gr.I), over 2,000 metres in December.
Local challengers include Godolphin's GRANDE HOMBRE, fourth to Pleasantly Perfect a year ago, RULER'S COURT, trained by Ismael Mohammed, and the Doug Watson-trained ELMUSTANSER.
The de Kock-trained RIGHT APPROACH is looking for back to back wins in the US$2,000,000 Dubai Duty Free (Gr.I), sponsored by Dubai Duty Free. RIGHT APPROACH made Dubai World Cup history when dead-heating with the German raider Paolini for victory in the 1,777 metre race.
De Kock is also planning on running KEY OF DESTINY, MOON DAZZLE and WOLF WHISTLE, winner of the US$200,000 Al Rashidiya (Gr.III), run over the Dubai Duty Free course and distance.
Australia will be represented in the Dubai Duty Free (Gr.I) by the Tony Vasil-trained multiple Group One winner ELVSTROEM. British runners include the Jeremy Noseda-trained MAJORS CAST, winner of three Carnival races, and ALKAADHEM, the Marcus Tregoning trained winner of Jebel Hatta (Gr.II) on Super Saturday - the lead in race for the Dubai Duty Free.
POWERSCOURT, the Aidan O'Brien-trained globetrotter, could run in the US$2,000,000 Dubai Sheema Classic (Gr.I), sponsored by Dubai Waterfront, over 2,400 metres. Others in the race include Andrew Balding's Hong Kong Vase winner PHOENIX REACH and the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe runner-up CHERRY MIX, now under the care of bin Suroor.
Smart sprinter PICO CENTRAL, trained by Paulo Lobo, is one of the American runners in the US$2,000,000 Dubai Golden Shaheen (Gr.I), sponsored by Gulf News, the others include BEAR FAN, MY COUSIN MATT and SARATOGA CITY. Fabricio Borges from Brazil runs his Carnival winner SUSHI-BAR while champion UAE trainer Mazin Al Kurdi has the Mahab Al Shimaal (Gr.III), the Dubai Golden Shaheen prep race, winner ESTIMRAAR in the race.
De Kock is double handed with his course and distance winner GRAND EMPORIUM and EMERALD BEAUTY in the US$1,000,000 Godolphin Mile (Gr.II), sponsored by Jebel Ali International Hotels.
BECRUX, leading Italian two-year-old of last year, represents de Kock in the US$2,000,000 UAE Derby (Gr.I), sponsored by Saeed & Mohammed Al Naboodah Group over 1,800 metres. Bin Suroor will be represented by Dewhurst Stakes (Gr.I) winner SHAMARDAL, with Noseda running the UAE 2000 Guineas hero STAGELIGHT.
Al Kurdi runs the impressive PAROLE BOARD winner of the UAE Derby prep race, the Al Bastakiya, by over five lengths on Super Saturday.
Dubai World Cup night begins with the US$250,000 Dubai Kahayla Classic (Gr.I), sponsored by EMAAR, for Purebred Arabians.

To zart oczywiście, bo ten konkurs zblizony do totolotka bardziej. Natomiast podana przez Ciebie osoba to rodzina jednego z najlepszych typerów w Polsce, który na tym forum również się czasem udziela.
